Goats are generalists, grazing and browsing in a variety of habitats: valley foothill woodland, coastal scrub, chaparral, and annual grasslands. Graze when grasses and forbs are available in spring and summer; browse when grasses and forbs are unavailable. Use rocky areas for cover.
